This is the story of Chad Berger and Bryan Much on their 2005 ride of the Michigan Cycle Concervation Clubs 1200 mile Upper Penninsula Dual Sport Safari.
Heres the sign on the top of Brockway mountain, pretty fun roads and a great view.
Coming off the mountain into the town of Copper Harbor.
A freighter off in the distance. The shipping channels are quite close to shore here and there have been alot of wrecks over the years.
Lighthouse just pass Copper Harbor.
We decided to get extra credit and go all the way to the tip of the Keeweenaw penninsula and visit the old NASA rocket range. This was a fun trip since it offered some pretty interesting riding. THe "road" had alot of washed out areas so you had to pick your line carefully. It also had a bunch of deep mud puddles, which are always fun.
The marker at the rocket range.
Nice little secluded lagoon we found on out attempt to find the actual rocket range. Riding on the rocks on the beach was quite tough!
Rocket Range.
The bugs were bad out here and we weren't making any progress just sitting here so we took off south.
